HCG went down to almost zero and then went up

I'm currently going through this and can't find any information on it.

Hcg Dec 11 - 105
Hcg Dec 13 - 230
Spotting Dec 18
Hcg Dec 21 - 105
Dec 24 I was told I would miscarry. Bled for 2 days. Clots and heavy bleeding.

Tracked my hcg every week since and it went down.

Hcg Jan 3 - 16
Hcg Jan 12 - 28

Went to ER and they found nothing anywhere. Ruled out everything (ectopic, retained products of conception)

HCG Jan 13 - 48 HOW???

I have had 2 previous miscarriages and my last one turned into an ectopic but I used methotrexate.

I don't understand what's happening and how it can't be an ectopic this time when my hcg is rising.

I'd say you're definitely not pregnant after bleeding heavily and HCG levels that low, sorry. Unless someone on here is a doctor then I've no idea why it would have risen slightly.
