Am I pregnant again?

I am so so confused. I was 100% sure I’m not pregnant this cycle. Haven’t got sore boobs and it feels like I’m getting my period again. It’s my first month after a miscarriage. I took a test 3 weeks ago, and it was much lighter, then went negative and then got my period. I’m only 8dpo. Again no symptoms no sore breasts and feel like I’m coming on but I’ve just took 2 tests. Clearly positive. It’s either a chemical or left over HCG? But then when I think about it I tracked my ovulation like normal this month and had very negative ovulation tests only a week ago… it would have picked up the HCG if it was left over. I’m just in such shock

I would do another test in a couple of days and see if the line is getting darker and then confirm with a clearblue. Could it be that you ovulated earlier than you thought this cycle? I've read it can be much easier to get pregnant the cycle after a miscarriage

@botheredand does this look the real thing and not left over hcg or a chemical? It’s got much darker from 4 days ago but still no sore boobs! Heartburn I have, dizzy spells I have, sore back I have but my boobs are still unswollen and not sore! I just don’t believe the tests 😩

I don't remember having sore boobs with my first...though it was 18 years go!

Yeah bottom one is today! The bottom is an early detection and the strips are normal so bottom one is always dark but I’m only 11dpo today! I had a HCG blood test done Monday and it was 37 which I’m not sure about, I’m having another tomorrow to see what it’s doing!

Definitely looks like it's getting darker and that you're pregnant! If you're only 11dpo that might explain the lower hcg. If today's shows its doubling then that will confirm it. Also symptoms won't always be the same for each pregnancy and it's still very early. How are you feeling about the pregnancy?

@NphysT my bloods were done at 10dpo so I’m hoping 37 is a good number, just so nervous about my results today, I have everything crossed it’s gone up a decent amount. I feel so unattached to this pregnancy, I don’t want to get excited because I know what happened only a month ago, I just feel guilty because I should be happy but I just feel so confused and don’t want to get attached 😢

How did your blood test go?
I think that's normal, wanting to protect yourself from the worst happening again and imagine its how id feel when we're ready to try for our next. Try to take it 1 day at a time and prioritise your mental health. You have no reason to feel guilty for how you feel.

@NphysT thank you! In 40 hours from 10dpo (37) it went to 115 so more than tripled in less than 2 days. Have another one tomorrow then I’ll be booked in to see a midwife and 12 week scan! So just fingers crossed for tomorrow, I’ve booked myself in with a doctor to be referred for prenatal mental health help because I just want to be protected incase my mental health declines!

The prenatal mental health referral will definitely help even if you don't feel like you need it later on, it's good to know you will be fully supported during your pregnancy. It may be different for you, but when I was referred to them I got a letter stating I would get an appointment with them after 12 weeks and that was scheduled in for when I was meant to be 17 weeks pregnant but unfortunately baby's heart stopped at 12 weeks + 1day. You may be able to get a sooner appointment though if you need it x
