Surgical management recovery

Unfortunately, I had a MMC and found out at the 12 week scan. Baby had stopped developing at 7w5days. I opted for surgical management yesterday which, although upsetting, went as smoothly as it could have done and the hospital staff were so lovey and kind. I’m feeling very sore and tender in my lower abdomen today. The cramping has subsided and the bleeding is manageable but my stomach hurts every time I move. I can only guess that it’s because I’ve essentially got an open wound internally and that’s what causing the pain. Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and how long it lasted. This was my first pregnancy and I feel like I’m overthinking everything at this point. TIA x

So sorry for your loss.

I had surgical management 6 weeks ago and a few days after had crazy abdominal pains but they didn’t feel like normal ‘womb pains’. After a while I realised it was more to do with my bowels and I ended up taking laxatives and that made all the difference.

I looked it up and found some old threads on here of women describing similar.

I spoke to my GP who said that made sense as it’s all so close together.

Hope your reviver goes well as can be expected.
