Does implantation happen earlier with ectopic?

I've done so much googling and scrolling and just can't find anything about this.

We have been TTC for 2.5 years with one second trimester MC a year ago. No success since then.

My cycles are completely regular.

Today is 4dpo and I experienced a TINY amount of brown discharge in my underwear.

I've never ever had this before, never get mid cycle spotting or ovulation spotting and I've recently had my day 21 progesterone tested so I know that is fine.

I know this is way too early for implantation bleeding so I'm just wondering whether it could be implantation from an ectopic? 😫 implanting too early? Why can't I find any info on this online when it seems to make sense?

My first PG was ectopic, I’m afraid I can’t recall which DPO my spotting started. But it did come and go daily, some days more than others. But it was more than a “tiny” amount. I would say wait until you can test and then continue to monitor any bleeding if you get a BFP?

I'm so scared of having an ectopic pregnancy, really sorry you had to go through it. X
