Private scan when bleeding at 8 weeks?

Hi,

Has anyone had a private scan to give reassurance after bleeding/spotting?

I've been bleeding (some brown, some red) on and off for a few days (3rd pregnancy Inc previous miscarriage). I rang the hospital and they said if it continued they could book me in for a scan next week. However I'm going away this weekend and have a work trip next week and really don't want this looming over me and I'd just rather know one way or another.

Has anyone had a private scan to check for a miscarriage? I've tried to ring our local private clinic but there's no answer. I worry they might turn me away and say I need to go to the hospital, but they won't see me until next week.

Hi - why are you worried they may turn you away? Any private clinic will scan you if that’s what you’re paying for 🙂 I have booked a private scan for spotting in my first pregnancy and this saved my life - they found it to be ectopic and I was sent straight to the EPU. I’d say book it if you have concerns! It could all be normal, but it could be something to look in to. Fingers crossed for you x
