Early scan

I had an early scan which was done TV and I was showing as 6weeks with a heartbeat. I then went to have another scan when I was just over 8weeks as I'm constantly nervous. This was done abdominally and the sonographer could not find a heartbeat and could only just make out the baby. I have now been referred to EPU but have to wait a few days and I'm just wondering if I still have a chance that things could still be ok as although I know you can see and hear a heartbeat abdominally at this stage but TV is a lot more accurate. Or am I just clinging on to hope?

Did the sonographer offer a tv scan? Was it done at a private clinic?
I’ve had scans between 6-10 weeks and all the clinics have said they’d rather do tv as it’s more accurate. I’m very petite though so was offered an abdominal one at 8 weeks and although not the clearest, was able to see heartbeat.
I think there’s still a chance! I’m hoping for good news for you.

Yes this was at a private clinic unfortunately I wasn't offered a TV scan as they only do abdominal ones at this particular place. But I have been searching online and there's mixed responses as to whether you see baby at 8 weeks with an abdominal scan and a lot say you can so I don't know if I'm just hoping! I guess it's just a waiting game.
