Hi,

We had 4 miscarriages and the 5th pregnancy was successful. Our daughter is now 17 months old.
We are now trying for a 2nd baby. Just had a miscarriage. Just got me back to the hard couple of years we had.

Has anyone been in the same situation and perhaps has already have a successful 2nd baby?

Thank you,

Hi @Kaliou, I’m sorry for your losses ❤️I don’t have any positive stories but I’m in a similar situation. We had three losses before conceiving our DD who is 18 months. I just surgical management for miscarriage a couple of days ago. It is a nasty reminder of past pain as well as being its own horrible thing. Sending hugs, and luck for us both xx

Hi @deliwoman1 thank you for your message. ❤️
I am so sorry for your losses too.
I also had a surgical management of miscarriage last week.

Have you done any test and did you do anything different on your successful pregnancy?

@Kaliou I hope you're doing okay. Sorry I missed your message. No, I didn't do anything different, but I am over two years older than when I conceived my daughter. I'm about to turn 41, so those couple of years probably do make a difference at my age.

It's been two weeks since my surgery, and my bleeding has totally stopped now. I am still getting positive tests, but they're getting fainter, so I'm hopeful that by the three-week threshold they'll be negative or squinters at least.

A couple days after my surgery I had what felt exactly like ovulation pain, but I was still bleeding and getting very positive tests then so I doubt it? I'm so keen for my period to return so we can get back on track and try again. 😕

I hope you’re doing ok. It’s a horrible process.

I had 5 miscarriages before my first and another 3 before my second. I had my first on clexane, progesterone and aspirin (but also miscarried a fair few on that combo too). My second successful pregnancy was my first pregnancy where I took prednisolone though so I strongly feel that made a difference.

Sending caring vibes. I found myself floating on this board even though I haven’t been etc for years now because I still remember how awful recurrent miscarriage is.
