Lupus anticoagulant

Hi everyone

I lost my baby girl at 4 months pregnant. I had some blood testing done at the time and have had to fight for some answers after two months of waiting. I was told I could TTC so have been trying.

My GP said I tested positive for lupus anticoagulant but he couldn't give me any more information and I'd need to test again after 12 weeks.

I could potentially be pregnant so the 12 week test might not be able to be done. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Also, any information you have on the condition and how it affected future pregnancies would be much appreciated.

Thanks

im sorry about your loss. If you are pregnant again you need to see a dr urgently because having the lupus anticoagulant antibodies puts you at risk of another miscarriage. But they can start you on aspirin or even heparin to thin your blood while pregnant and this has a high chance of success . But please see someone asap.

Thank you. Unfortunately getting to speak to my consultant is incredibly difficult and my GP won't get involved. I have asprin in the event of a positive test. Wasn't sure if that would the the recommended action if I didn't have the 12 week test too
