Feeling down - not pregnant after miscarriag

I'm sorry I was not sure where to post this. I'm 34 (will be 35 in March) and I've been TTC since Feb 2023. I got pregnant in April which was a chemical and didn't get pregnant again until October which ended in a natural miscarriage at 7.5 weeks. I have read all these stories about being more fertile after a miscarriage. I have not waited for a period and began LH testing after the miscarriage. 3 weeks later I got my peak and had timed sex perfectly that week DTD in the 3 days leading up to ovulation and ovulation itself. Yet I did not fall pregnant. I am feeling low.

It took me 3 years before I had a successful pregnancy and birth. I ended up having blood tests done which showed my blood clotted when pregnant and therefore caused my losses.
It's worth asking for blood tests to see if there's a reason. It's promising that you did get pregnant even though it didn't go to plan!
It still mystifies me that women accidentally get pregnant and carry their baby to term when you think how hard it is for others.

Hey, I had a mmc at 11 weeks in August. That was totally unplanned. I have been trying since then having sex as much as possible to be pregnant again and nothing. Trying SMEP this month but it’s tiring. On cycle day 17 today and still no LH rise. Been dtd every 2 nd day since day 7. 🤦‍♀️if it doesn’t work this month I’m giving up. I already have an 8 yr old and had no problems conceiving her so I just don’t get how it’s not happening now when it’s meant to be far easier. You’re not alone!

@User13355 sorry for your loss. I had MMC in September but took a little while to resolve. I also felt really low when I didn't concieve on the first cycle. We timed it as well so gave it the best chance! I think it's about 30% chance each cycle so it's by no means guaranteed. I hope it happens for you soon!

I'm currently in my second cycle TTC on CD22 with no sign of ovulation yet. @Hollycharlie sounds like we are both in the waiting game! We have been DTD every other day for two weeks and it's getting a bit long now. Wondering how long to keep going for or if ovulation will ever arrive!

@User13355 Hey I’m in cycle 4. First one was stupid like 40 days , 2nd ok at 30 next 35 and now waiting about like you. I feel the same as you , it’s getting too long now. Even the DH is getting fed up of the sex 😂I really thought it’d be a walk in the park getting pregnant again, since your meant to be super fertile and we weren’t even trying before, but its not the case very frustrating. I really think I can’t continue after this one it’s consuming a lot of time and emotions. Can you do the tests every day and miss the lh surge? I have no idea this has crossed my mind, But I’ve had literally no lh at all since my period. 🤦‍♀️

There’s only about 30% chance of pregnancy per cycle. I’m now 3 cycles past a miscarriage with nothing yet. We waited a while after the miscarriage though, it’s recommended to have a normal period first. And give yourself time to grieve as well.

@Hollycharlie have you been temping at all? I've found it helpful to know where my body is at and what it's doing. Although if you are finding the tracking causes stress then it might cause more as you take it first thing in the morning. I've been doing it so I'm armed with the information I need if I need to see my GP. Keep testing and never give up hope!

@Daisies12 thanks for the mess. No , I’ve sortve read about it but I thought it was just another thing to add the list 🙈Hopefully the be yr will bring us all good news. ❤️

You're not alone by any means, my period arriving every month devastates me. I'm in cycle 5 of trying again after my most recent MMC in July. Praying to get pregnant again soon whilst simultaneously being terrified of another loss.

Hollycharlie · 21/12/2023 18:52

@moosey89 im in the exact same boat as you. 🤦‍♀️ovulation tracking is just stressful then when af arrived more disappointment. After getting to cycle day 20 I’m finally seeing some LH rise. Wishing us all the best start to 2024! Good luck everyone. ❤️
