Is this over?

Last week I had bleeding, it was brown and upon having an early scan there was a heartbeat and they said baby was measuring big. I was 11 weeks and 1 day.

I'm supposed to be having a scan in the morning but during sex my partner noticed there was a significant amount of blood. I called 111 and they said to rest and go to my scan in the morning. Now I have quite bad cramps, to the point where I've been stuck on the toilet for an hour and a half because it's the only time the pain seeks to stop, back ache and am passing stringy tissue like clots.

Is there any chance my baby is okay or should I give up all hope?

I'm sorry this is happening to you. No- don't give up at all just yet! Take some paracetamol to help ease the pain. Get a wheat bag or water bottle to help with the cramps. Try to get some rest if you can, and go for the scan tomorrow.

Sorry if TMI, but if you do pass products tonight, keep in a sterile container and take along to the scan tomorrow. Unless its your 3rd MC, they won't do genetic testing, but should at least do basic histology and provide a report. Again, sorry if TMI, but I've had 3 MC's. Having a report brought a tiny bit of comfort, in terms of validating the pregnancy and something concrete to prove it.

It might just be a haematoma and many other women have bleeding, but a healthy pregnancy OP. Don't give up just yet. Sending hugs and wishing you all the best x

Thank you, I'm just so scared. I thought all was okay after the scan last week especially since the heartbeat was there and Strong, I was even experiencing morning sickness right before the bleeding started.

I just hope Baby is okay in there and I've fallen down the rabbit hole of googling and trawling threads

The chance of mc declines rapidly after 10 weeks when a heartbeat is seen so definitely don’t give up hope x
