Did anyone else have a threatened mc turn into a mc around 14 weeks?

I'm desperate to find someone who went through what i did but am finding it hard.

I don't know how a small bleed caused this 😢

So sorry you are going through this. It’s so hard not having the answers. I had a small bleed at around 6 weeks pregnant and went on to miscarry at around 13 weeks. I don’t believe they were connected though as I had no bleeding before my 1st miscarriage and lost that baby at 14 weeks.

Thank you & i'm so sorry for your losses. Did they do any investigations for you?

I'd had spotting from week 8 onward where it turned into a proper bleed. It was small and they thought it would be ok.

They took a tissue sample after my 2nd but there was a problem with it, so I didn’t get any results back from that. All bloods were fine both times. After my 2nd I didn’t go into hospital until 16 weeks in a hope they would accept my placenta which they did(first was refused as I was 15 weeks when I’d gone in. Will be a few months before I get results from that. I’ve now been referred to Tommys and awaiting for an appointment.

Wow that's terrible. I've been allowed a full post mortem at 14 weeks but just want the placenta checked. Wishing you the best of luck x

I hope you get some answers! It’s such a struggle not knowing why. We opted for a burial both times so it does give me some peace having somewhere to visit them . I have a great bereavement midwife who is so helpful. If you haven’t been put in touch with one, reach out to your hospital and ask that they have one contact you.

Thank you! I only just found out yesterday that my GP and Midwife haven't even been made aware 😞 when they do, i will ask them about a bereavement midwife x

yes. i started bleeding at 10 weeks 1 day, it was only a very small amount of brown blood. had a scan, the baby was fine and growing perfectly, they were very reassuring. carried on bleeding (it slowly increased, but was always very light); the baby still had a heartbeat at a further scan at 11 weeks 2 days; I ended up losing the baby at 11 weeks 6 days.
