Bleeding after ERPC

Hi everyone
I had a MMC 3 1/2 weeks ago, and had surgery on Monday after 3 weeks and 3 failed medical managements (I only had a small amount of retained tissue, 17mm)
I’m guessing it was called an ERPC - I had general anaesthetic and they just used suction?

Anyway, after the operation I bled, and the two times I went for a wee after it that day I bled (bright red blood) also. However since then I’ve had no bleeding at all!!
But, last night I went to the toilet and there was weird thick brown stuff in my knickers (sorry tmi). I wouldn’t call it discharge, but it’s not like dark period blood either, it’s a weird consistency. It happened again when I went for a wee before bed.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal?
The surgeon said the op went well, I don’t need a follow up because he said he got it all.. he even said there’s no point doing a pregnancy test when I ask if I should in 1-2 weeks. But it’s in the back of my mind that the consent form I signed said a risk was that I will have retained tissue (I know they have to say it) and I guess the last 3 weeks have given me so much anxiety and paranoia.
Just wanting people’s own experience of the surgery to hopefully ease my mind.. desperate for this all to be over with 🥺 x

Hi @Holly0609 I’ve had a fairly similar experience to you, found out about my mmc just over 3 weeks ago, 1 failed medical management (scan revealed everything was still there) and then surgical management almost 2 weeks ago. In terms of bleeding I had a bit for a few days after (but never anything too heavy) and it gradually lessened, but became more brown. I then had nothing and stopped wearing a pad earlier in the week, but have the brown stuff I think you’re describing now and have for a few days. From what I’ve heard and read it’s normal.
So sorry you’re going through it too
