Miscarriage at 11 weeks

Hello Ladies,

I am feeling deficient today. I have a lovely little 4-year-old boy. I fell pregnant again and was initially not excited because of job loss etc. Eventually, I came around to adoring this little soul. But on Sunday I found out I had miscarried and my world was shattered. I want to try again but I am 39 and I don't know if I will be able to manage another loss if it happens.

Just looking for hand hold and any positive stories after MMC at 40

Different situation as I had IVF treatment but I had a miscarriage in March 2022 and then went on to have a baby in February 2023. I turned 39 in July 23 so not too dissimilar in age.

I’m so sorry…I’m currently recovering from surgical management of a missed miscarriage. I’m 40 and two weeks ago I found out that my pregnancy stopped developing. I also don’t know if I can try again mentally, and if it will ever happen for me because of my age….you’re not alone! Xx

Thank you, Ladies. I know people mean well but it doesn't help when people around me tell me that I at least have one kid and I should try to accept that might never have another one.😢These comments hurt especially as my pain is still so raw.

@NortWestmum Oh no! Those comments are not helpful at all! I’m sorry you’re hearing these from people. I know it’s hard but shut out that noise and take time to look after yourself. Give yourself a bit of time to heal and see how you feel. But know plenty of women do go on to have babies in the 40s.
@Cinai - I am very sorry you are going through this as well. The pain is just awful. I hope you can look after yourself as best you can in this really tough time.
