Miscarriage campaigns

Hello,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at the beginning of January. I opted to have an MVA. All medical care to this point was very good. I began to have complications after the MVA and to cut a long story short I suffered a major bleed four weeks after the procedure due to an infection. I had to have emergency help which was very traumatic for myself but also my husband and young child. During those four weeks I continuously asked for medical help and support which wasn't forthcoming.

I have had contact with the hospital and a significant adverse event review found areas which needed improving. This is very welcomed; however it doesn't feel like enough support is out there for women's health after suffering a miscarriage. I feel really strongly that awareness needs to be raised so that another woman doesn't need to go through what I did unnecessarily.

Are there any campaigns out there that I could join? I feel like I need to do something to ensure what happened to me after my miscarriage didn't happen in vain. I live in Scotland. Thanks in advance for any advice.
