No embryo at 6w1d… miscarriage?

I had an early scan today at 6w1d. Ultrasound showed gestational sac at 5w5d and no embryo.
should there be an embryo by now? My LMP was 30/08/23.
The Gestational sac is measuring 9.9mm. Advice to rescan in a week. Has anyone experienced this?

You may just have been a bit too early, especially if you're not totally certain on dates (e.g. if you ovulated late) - I think 6 weeks is about the earliest you can see anything on a scan. Good luck and I hope you get a good outcome on your next scan.

I could have wrote this myself. The sonographers didn’t seem overly concerned however I am in a state of panic! Hoping and praying we have slow developers
