Could this have been a miscarriage?

Forgive me for posting but my heads been a little all over since this happened.
I didn't know/suspect I was pregnant, I'm on contraception and only have a week break and I bleed then. Never usually in between.
However this weekend I randomly started heavy bleeding in the middle of the night, it continued for a few days getting worse and yesterday it was really heavy and painful, then I rushed to the toilet and I passed a huge clot which was the size of my palm.
After this the pain has gone and the bleeding has all but stopped...

It may just be nothing, I don't really know but it just felt - off ... I can't explain it.
I've never experienced anything like it before.

I am sorry to ask but if anyone has any insight that would be really helpful my brain is a little meh due to the flu right now

Do you feel unwell at all? Sadly with early MC there is not a lot that doctors can do (unless something goes wrong like infection) but if you feel unwell at all then you could visit your doctor? I obviously can't advise if it was or not, but unusual bleeding is definitely worth speaking with someone about.

Your HCG levels would likely still be high enough to register as a Positive on a pregnancy test if you were in the early stages if you wanted confirmation.

Maybe take a pregnancy test and see what it says, if you were you could still be testing positive. Might shed some light.

Thank you. Yeah I might try that. I take a medication which isn't compatible with pregnancy at all and can cause miscarriage which is what is running through my head x

Thank you, yeah I'm loaded with flu and been doctor yesterday but didn't mention bleeding as the clot hadn't passed at that point.

I'd take a test, likely your HCG levels would still be high enough to register, if you were pregnant. Either way I'd probably discuss with GP or the doctor who prescribes your medication, as if you weren't pregnant, they might want to investigate what happened.

If you were pregnant it will show up on a pregnancy test. I would mention it to your doctors regardless though.
