Will it take me as long second time round

I was looking for any advice.

Me and OH have been trying for a baby for just over two years. In July we had our first IVF appointment and a week later I got my first ever BFP. Sadly at an early 8 week scan we found out the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks.

I am waiting for my first AF after the miscarriage and was wondering if people found that it took them another 2 years to fall pregnant or can it happen quicker this time?

I am nearly 37 so worried that time is not one my side.

Often after a miscarriage you can fall pregnant quickly as your body is 'primed'
I didn't have IVF but found the above to be the case. My obs consultant was a miscarriage expert and said to not wait just ttc again straight away, often people say wait 3 months but she said not to.
Good luck!

@FloofCloud if you don’t mind me asking how long did it take you to conceive again? @Hopingforbabynumber1 sorry to hear this, I’m 42 so don’t panic just yet you have time x

I’m very sorry for your loss.

It took me 2 years to get pregnant the first time, I miscarried then got pregnant 3 cycles later with dc1.

I then got pregnant with dc2 without even trying (bar not using contraception) before dc1 was even 1 year old.

So for me it definitely was the case that I got pregnant more quickly after the first time.
