Chemical Pregnancy

So I've had a miscarriage turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, I was 5+1 by LMP had nausea, a mad sense of smell and sore boobs, vivid dreams and insomnia. I found out on the 3rd with a faint positive and took 4 more over the next 2 days and got clear positive results. Yesterday morning I woke with blood on my sheets so I knew what was happening, but went to A&E as instructed by my hospitals maternity dept.

When I got there the bleeding was still quite light but within 30 minutes I'd done my urine sample which was full of blood and had some clots, I then knew for certain.

The bleeding got heavier and I was changing my pad every 20 minutes and leaking through, the toilet was covered and I'd started passing small clots. My bloods came back 5 hours later!!! that my hcg level was 6 and I was sent home told I'd most likely had a chemical pregnancy and it should be a heavy period.

I got home and into the shower blood was pouring and larger clots were coming, I'd passed a lot of large ones over the afternoon and it seemed to slow down slightly overnight. This morning seemed like a normal heavy flow of a period and the cramping had subsided I just feel... uncomfortable. I've just had to run to the bathroom and my whole pad is sealed and I'm still passing clots like this... (sorry for the image) yesterday I'd nearly passed out a few times and was so weak and pale, my lips had basically gone white and I thought this morning finally it's slowing down and I'll start to feel a bit more normal.

This was my first pregnancy, and so I'm wondering how long does this last?

Sorry to hear

It can vary but you may stop bleeding within a week

@pastalover96 Similar here... mine lasted for around 9 to 10 days, heavy flow for several days with clots like in your photo. Take more rest if you feel sick and weak. If the bleeding doesn't stop after a week or two, go to the doctor. What's important is to make sure there is no retained products left inside. Take care.
