Cramps 2 weeks after miscarriage

Hi all

I had a miscarriage (medical management) two weeks ago, the embryo had stopped growing at around 6 weeks and I was 9.5 weeks when I finally had the medication to get things moving.

I stopped bleeding about 5 days ago but I'm still having a lot of strange cramps, almost like implantation type cramps (not suggesting I could be pregnant again so soon!), and back pain etc. is this normal in your experience? It doesn't feel like usual cycle cramps eg at ovulation/menstruation. Just wondering at what point I should get a scan to check everything has passed properly.

Have you got a negative pregnancy test yet? You can always call the epau to ask them?

My experience of 4 miscarriages is that things can sadly drag on for ages 😞

I haven't had a negative test yet, it was positive a few days ago, I've got more cheap hcg strips arriving today so I'll test again when I get home. Sounds like it's just a waiting game. Maybe I'll try calling EPU if this is still happening next week.

After my miscarriage I still got cramps and then after about 5 day I lost more. I don't think it all came away at the time. It freaked me out. A lot came away on second loss and DH thought it might have been twins.

Thanks @caringcarer. It was confirmed twins for me on my scan so maybe this is a similar thing for me. Time will tell. I'm sorry for your loss as well x
