First period after mc - cramping

Hi everyone,

I had a mc in July. Found out at the start of the month (at 8 weeks) that our baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks, and there was no heartbeat. I bled most of the month before eventually miscarrying three weeks later.

I've just had my first period since then - fairly normal length, a little heavier than usual. Bleeding from that has now stopped, but I've still got cramps?! I've never had cramps after a period before! Has anyone else experienced this, or know why it is?
