When to start ovulation tracking?

Hi,
I sadly had a miscarriage nearly a week ago and I am wondering when to start ovulation tracking again. I am still testing positive for hcg obviously but I did a LH surge today and that’s showing peak. Is that because I still have hcg in my system? Just want to try and monitor to see what my body is doing.

Hi I’m sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage on the 11th august, with the MVA on the 14th. I started using LH strips for the first time afterwards but didn’t catch a peak. From tracking bbt it says I ovulated on the 2nd sept which was 20 days after my MVA. I do tend to ovulate quite late normally, around CD18 though. I have read that sometimes the LH picks up the hcg.

@Ccp7 I’ve been tracking since I started miscarriage on 10/8, I peaked until I had no HCG, I’m now barely showing any lh but I don’t think the strips after a miscarriage are trustworthy, so I’ve been dtd every other day just in case. 🙈

@Bali200 have you had a period yet or any signs of one? It’s been 5 weeks since I started miscarrying the mmc and 4 weeks since it was completed and no sign of any period. I’ve been trying but no idea if I’ve ovulated as the sticks are just low every day, but had some ewcm so god knows what’s going on.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I started testing once the bleeding had stopped (2 weeks post surgical management). Negative pregnancy test at 3 weeks after. I didn't ovulate before my period came back 4.5 weeks after the surgery.

Ive also recently had an early miscarriage

Ive finally stopped bleeding

Guna start ovulation testing twice a day am n pm with cheap sticks

Expecting ovulation in 2 weeks but will see

Am negative 4 hcg now

@Hollycharlie yes my AF arrived exactly 4 weeks after my MVA. Did you get a negative test after your mc?

@Bali200 thanks for the response. Yes got negative about 11-12 days after it started . Also tested a few days ago and still negative, also negative LH. It’s a total head f*. 🤯

@Hollycharlie that is a total head f*, I’m sorry! At least you know hcg went down to negative though and you had some EWCM which is a good sign! I wasn’t sure I did ovulate as I still had brown discharge 3 weeks later and was testing low on the strips but Natural Cycles told me I did based on my bbt 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think they told me it could take up to 6 weeks for AF to return which is super annoying and I know it’s hard to be patient. It’s so difficult after a MC to know what our bodies are up to x

@Bali200 thanks hun. Had more cwcm today , slight increase in the lh levels still no where near positive, but got to try just in case 😂my husbands not complaining 😂😂. It’s so odd. Anyway what can we do , at least it’s helping to move on a little easier as so focused on trying again. Hope you get a BFP soon ❤️x

@Hollycharlie no problem, and good luck to you too, I hope you get a BFP before your first AF even arrives for you 💗 yes I feel the same, I’m maybe getting a little bit too obsessive 😂 but it’s nice to focus on trying again and to feel more hopeful as the past 5 weeks have been so shit x

@Bali200 I agree. I’ve tried to be normal but it’s absolute shit! My 5 weeks too. I was just talking to my hubby about everything and he’s just told me he cousins wife and also the same cousins brothers wife have lost a baby in last few months through miscarriage, I honestly can’t believe how many people lose babies and it’s not common knowledge. Being obsessive is maybe a savings grace. Otherwise it could easily go the other way. Thank you so much, I think I’m totally clutching at straws with any chance of BFP before af but who knows. If not we’ll have fun trying again next month. 😂good luck hun. This is a shit club to be in but it may make us feel even more lucky when it’s our time . Xx

I’m only 5 days since the mc happened but I am doing my hcg strips daily until the line disappears and then from then I will start with the clearblue digital ovulation sticks once I have no hcg in my system. I will keep trying DTD from the 2 week mark anyway.. god it’s a such a horrible journey this whole thing isn’t it. It’s the never knowing.

I will keep trying DTD from the 2 week mark anyway.. god it’s a such a horrible journey this whole thing isn’t it. It’s the never knowing.

@Ccp7 FYI I’ve been tracking LH on the pre mom ap, I had a miscarriage 5 weeks ago now. These strips and ap aren’t to be trusted……. At the moment anyway. See my pic. The first one was before I removed predicted period and one after so 2 different results. I’m just glad we’ve been DTD and I noticed EWCM and been doing it more then. 🙈
