2 ERPC now hysteroscopy ! MMC

Hi ladies ...

I had a MMC in January which resulted in me having MVA... I then had another MMC in July but due to my awful experience with my MVA I chose to be put to sleep and have a ERPC .

3 weeks later i was still having brown discharge and also a blazing positive pregnancy test. I was rescanned to show there was still retained pregancy tissue so i had another ERPC nearly 3 weeks ago but this time they were guided with a ultrasound.

After the 2nd surgery my bleeding was more red and then turned into a brown discharge (last time it was just brown) but still getting positive pregnancy tests.

Monday just gone I had a blood test showing my HCG was 187 and they said I could just be one of those people where my pregancy hormone takes ages to go.

My bleeding finally stopped yesterday so I was feeling hopeful that there were no issues however after today's scan I STILL have retained pregancy tissue !

I'm having a hysteroscopy later on today to remove the tissue.

Has anyone else been in this situation ? If so when did you finally get your period and also any success stories in conceiving ?

I’m sorry, I can’t offer any advice as I’m only 4.5 weeks on from my MVA after a MMC and I’ve had a negative test. But just wanted to say I’m so sorry for your loss and that you’re going through this. It’s shit enough as it is without having to deal with retained products.

I have read a thread on here about RPOC and hysteroscopy from others who have experienced this, it might be worth posting on there. I hope it goes well for you today 💐 x
