had a d & c last Monday. When I got to home on the day I reset my clear blue digital fertility monitor to day 1. On day 6 I started peeing on the sticks to track day 6. No surge detected day 7 went to high day 8 was also ‘high’ then this morning day 9 has hit peak with the circle.

I conceived last time using this monitor and DTD once only on the peak day (we abstained)

what do I do? Do I DTD now and trust the machine or wait…obviously I would t have even thought about it if it stayed on high but it’s peaked which I believe is real actual ovulation. Thoughts pls

Hi there. I'm so sorry you have gone through this. I had a d&c on Friday (after second lot of medical management failed) and was told I needed to wait 2 weeks to take a pregnancy test to ensure this is negative before trying again - despite them scanning after th3 d&c to see if they got everything while under anaesthetic, as they said the scan isn't 100% in these situations. Did your hospital indicate the same?

It is, not a nice club to be in is it?

To be honest I think the mental toll has been the worst. We found out via private scan at end of July, nhs scan 10 days later confirmed and had medical management then, then my pregnancy test 3 weeks later was positive still and scan the following week found retained tissue in a scan with second lot of medical management making no difference. I really didn't want surgery and I feel so different since having it which has affected me mentally I think. It's like life and time stands still when there's no end in sight. I had very light bleeding first couple of days but past 2 days has been a bit heavier and bright red.

I hope you are as okay as can be.

It is so hard I know. I was told to do a test 2 weeks after surgery, but I know after my medical management it was 3 weeks after. I have a scan booked on Thursday in any event as I pushed for one with this so far being a month and a half since we found out.

For now I'm just trying to distract myself with hobbies, dog walks, spending time with husband and family, but I'm counting down to next week in hope of FINALLY getting some closure!

Its such a difficult period, I've seen a few suggestions of talking to Tommy's so maybe that is worth a try to talk through how you feel?
