On Wednesday I had medical management (tablets inserted) and I got told it could take a week to work?
bad cramping the first evening but no blood… is this normal?

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon.

I had medical management but it sounds a bit different from yours - I had a planned day admission to hospital where pessaries were inserted and it took around 5-6 hours in hospital before everything was complete.

I hope you're doing OK Flowers

Yeah I had the pessaries too but had to lay down for 1 hour and then was allowed home.
started cramping and feeling rubbish but there was no blood at all…

i wasn't told a week i was told should start bleeding within 24-48 hours. Mine failed and had to have more pessaries.

the nurse who administered the tablets told me 24-48 hours but the EPU have told me it could take a week to work… I undecided of whether to have more or the D&C

Had the injection and started to feel it on 2 hours

Best to call the EPU and double check - they would know best.

Readaboutyourself · 26/08/2023 22:17

I’ve had previous medical and it happened within hours. I would call EPU back.

I did end up having a D&C after medical due continued bleeding

I had two failed medical management and ended up having surgery, honestly wish of opted for that in the first place, felt like it went on for so long and it was really hard to go through. Hope you're ok
