Hi ladies
I'll try keep this short. Me and my husband aren't actively trying but not actively preventing atm. I tested at 17DPO and got a faint positive. Yesterday I started to bleed midday and it got worse as the day went on. Woke from my sleep several times in pain.Today in the morning I was in excruciating pain and filling pads soaking through my clothes. Rang the doc and the nurse told me to ride it out could be as a result of coming off contraception, chemical pregnancy was mentioned. Bleeding is still bad at 2am but calmed a good bit but the pain is so bad I can't sleep even after neurofen and paracetamol. Here wrapped in an electric blanket. Should I see a doc tomorrow or just see this out? I am so exhausted and light headed.

Thanks if you got this far.

Hi @4mammy did you do another test today to see whether your positive got lighter/darker?

I am currently having a chemical pregnancy, I got a positive and went to my doctor to get blood test to confirm, was positive but levels were low so was asked to come back and told to take progesterone. Went back a couple days later and positive result was then negative and numbers had plummeted and then my period arrived today (a couple days later) I’m in a lot of pain and also it’s really heavy soaked through pjs type of heavy! If I were you I would test again and if it’s negative you may have experienced a chemical pregnancy.
a blood test would have confirmed the hcg levels in your system but if you are sure you saw a positive and it isn’t now and your bleeding then I’d say that’s likely what it is. Hope you are ok
