Period after Miscarriage

Hi everyone, I had miscarriage exactly 3 weeks ago at 10+3 weeks, baby only measuring at 6,5 weeks. Today I'm getting what feels like the start of my period with some red spotting. From all the posts I've read it seems like the least amount of time people wait for their period is 4 weeks? Did anyone's come back sooner? Just hoping there isn't something else going on. I had a negative pregnancy test 5 days ago. Thank you!

I think mine is just starting 4 weeks 3 days after surgical management at 10+4. I didn't ovulate though between so not 100% sure as I don't get period symptoms, it just tends to arrive!

Thanks for the reply and so sorry for your loss!!! I don't think I ovulated either, the tests were all negative. Had a blood test this morning and HCG is now at 10. I expected it to disappear before my period would come back, seems very soon compared to what other people have experienced! But there is definitely red blood and some cramping so must be. It's all a bit confusing!

I am so sorry for your loss. Ovulation is unpredictable after mc so you must have ovulated soon after as your miscarriage was so early on. Personally I wouldn't worry about it. I would take it as a sign that your body is healing well.

@capetownclaire it's so strange isn't it! I got a negative pregnancy test 3 weeks after (bleeding stopped after 2 weeks) but didn't have any bloods so may still have traces of HCG. Let's hope our next cycles are relatively normal and go back to ovulating too! Hope you're doing ok x
