Likely to miscarry at home - what to expect?

Hello ladies,

i hope you can help me. I’m currently going through my fifth miscarriage and wondering what to expect as I think it’s going to happen at home and I’m pretty terrified! Two of my MCs have been very early (4.5-5 weeks) so just felt like a very heavy period. My two others were later and I opted for surgical management which I felt physically ok with. I’m now 8 weeks but baby only measuring 6+2 and bleeding heavily with clots / slight cramping but not needing painkillers yet. There’s a very slow heartbeat still present which makes it worse in a way as I feel like it’s clinging on yet there’s no hope? The lovely sonographer told me there’s every chance I may pass it naturally at home before I get the chance to book in for surgical next week. So my question is - will it feel like an 8 week miscarriage or a 6 week one? What are your experiences? I have young children at home and dreading being in pain or losing huge amounts of blood in front of them. Any stories (particularly nice ones!) very welcome xx
