First period after MC

Hi just after a bit of advise I've recently had a miscarriage found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks and blood tests confirmed a MC on the 2nd of July, I bled until the 18th of July this Tuesday. I have a couple of questions this was my first pregnancy I am wanting to try again how long do is advised to wait again until having sex and also how do you calculate the 4-6 weeks for your next period. Is it from the date the bleeding and tissue started to pass or the date the bleeding stopped? Only asking this as due to go on holiday in 5 weeks and really don't want to have a horrible period while I'm there as they are normally bad enough never mind after this.

This then leads me on to the next question has anyone taken norethisterone after a MC? Considering taking if I feel I'm going to turn whilst on holiday but don't want them to mess my periods up (been irregular since getting my implant removed in November 2021) even more or affect fertility etc

So sorry to hear this OP. I was told I could start trying again once I had a negative pregnancy test. We waited a month before I felt ready to start again.
My periods were the same after the MC as they were before the MC.
If I was you I would speak to your GP re: taking something when you are on holiday. If I was in your position I would and enjoy my holiday. You deserve a break after what you’ve been through. If you tell GP you are trying to conceive hopefully they can prescribe you something that doesn’t effect fertility.
