MMC 1 week on from surgical management

Hi,
I had a missed miscarriage 2 weeks ago, baby stopped growing 3 weeks ago, and had surgical management 1 week ago.
Since the surgery, twice my bleeding has almost completely stopped (just tiny amount of brown blood/spotting) barely needing a pad, and then a day later I've had cramps and bright red, heavy bleeding back again. Spoke to the hospital yesterday and they said to hold on to try a pregnancy test in a week, and it might be that it is "retained pregnancy tissue".
So I know I have to wait, but has this happened to anyone else? Did you need more surgical management? It currently feels pretty painful like a bad period, and even though she said to wait I did try a test today to see if the line was getting fainter and it is still super dark/quick pregnant line.
Just want this all to be done with now so I can try again!

I think they need to scan you, to see what is going on. I am very sorry for your loss Op.

I agree they need to scan you and see if there is anything remaining. With both my miscarriages I had a scan to confirm a miscarriage, I took the tablets both times, and a repeat scan 10 days later to confirm all was gone. It is dangerous to retain tissue so I'd be back on to then to scan you again x sorry for your loss 🩷

Thanks, they won't scan until 2 weeks after, so still 3 days to wait. Still bleeding, but it's looking old now. Just waiting to do another test on Friday. Might do Thursday night just to try and get seen before the weekend.
