Masturbation after miscarriage

I miscarried nearly 2 weeks ago and my sex drive seems to be coming back with a vengeance.
I'm still having light spotting so haven't been having sex as told not too until bleeding stops (had sex once as thought bleeding had finished but it started again next morning 😬🙈)

We have had some intimate time, with no penetration just hands on the outside 🙊 but I'm wondering if using hands or sex toys still gives risk of infection if ensuring they are extremely clean? I'm so desperate to stop bleeding now to get back to some normality but obviously don't want to do anything that could cause more issues or make this last longer.

Any advice would be much appreciated, i can't find much online.

I think you will be ok with on top hands and toys but prob best avoid any type of penetration until the bleeding completely stops, can be very frustrating I know but better to be safe, I have read that after 2 weeks it should be ok but also says when bleeding has stopped, so sorry to hear of your loss, I had surgical removal of my miscarriage a week ago sending love to you

Veteran of 7 miscarriages here sadly, and I know what you mean about the hormones impacting sex drive. I was always advised to wait until all bleeding has stopped, as your cervix will be slightly open until bleeding stops and any penetration can significantly increase the chances of infection. Keep hands outside and you'll be fine. The last thing you want after a miscarriage is a uterine infection!

@4kidsandaangelbutterfly I hadn't heard about just waiting two weeks, just about waiting until bleeding stopped but didn't know if risk of infection would be anything going inside 🙈 sorry you're going through it also, I was hoping for surgical management but ended up naturally miscarrying the morning I was due to go in.

@StylishM definitely don't want anything additional to cause issues! So sorry you've been through this so many times, 😔. I seem to have not bled for a few days now so fingers crossed that's the physical side of this finished!
