Glasgow Fertility Clinics

Hi all,

Looking for recommendations for fertility clinics in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Looking to see why I cannot get further than 6 weeks of pregnancy.

I've tried going through gp, they have apparently referred me to the miscarriage centre(can't remember the correct wording they used), this was a while ago they referred me.

It's getting so worrying now as I've had more than 3 miscarriages(I know this isn't a lot compared to other women), but I am mentally and physically drained, I'm getting older and just worried in general.

Any recommendations for private clinics, any help to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I am so sorry this has happened to you 💔
I’m unfortunately in the same boat myself 5th miscarriage in April but my body decided to hang onto this one and didn’t get it confirmed till 11 weeks it had stopped growing at 6 weeks 😭 so I really do feel your pain it’s absolutely horrendous 🤗 I have been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic but I’ve had to chase it up had I not I would still be waiting and I was supposed to have been referred after my D&C by the hospital which didn’t happen! I don’t know any private clinics but I would phone your doctor again to chase it up or even ask him/her who to call at the hospital (that’s what I did) and don’t take no for an answer tell them You want seen it’s the only way my referral was actually put through even though my doctor emailed the hospital to chase it on the 16th of June still waiting on an appointment though. sending you lots of love and strength 💪🏻♥️🤗 xx

Are you eligible to see the PRM fertility clinic in Glasgow?

I was referred by my GP due to being unable to conceive and the treatment I got was fabulous.

Other than that, I think the only other one may be GCRM? Private I'm sure.

Also, have you considered acupuncture? I know it sounds daft but the acupuncture woman I saw was so knowledgeable and explained things so much better than lots of the doctors and nurses I saw.

She have my loads of advice and tips and tricks to try. She specialises in fertility related issues.

I'm not sure if I'm eligible to go to that clinic, I've had more than 3 MCs, my GP has meant to have ref'd me a while back I'm going to chase it up on Friday.

We're happy to go private for consultation/treatment.

Wow this sounds interesting I've never even thought of pregnancy acupuncture, is this available in Glasgow?
What would I google to find the correct recommendation?

@HopefulP her name is Maureen Karnowski, she works or did work between the Balance clinic in Maryhill and The Natural Health Service on High Street.

She is honestly incredible. She told me things to help me along the way that the hospital never mentioned and they totally made sense.

I would definitely get your GP to chase up the referral with PRM as technically you've not been able to have a successful pregnancy to tests might need to be done? I take it you've not had any tests or anything done yet?

Never had any tests done at all, never had a follow up appointment from any my MCs and one of them I was in hospital and still I never even got a phone call from GP to check up(I know they are very busy but it would have been nice), every time I call GP they can't get me off the phone quick enough I just feel deflated once I come back off the phone to then tbh.
