Can I get medical miscarriage at 5 weeks?

Had my first ever BFP last Tuesday, but then had 24 hrs of light bleeding on Thursday, and pregnancy tests now very light.

My GP has prepared me that the most likely outcome is miscarriage.

I'm currently 5+1, and finding waiting to miscarry really difficult.

Has anyone had medical management of a miscarriage at 5 weeks? Or at 6 weeks? Did you go through your GP?

I can't register with the early pregnancy unit until I'm 6 weeks (and would need to still be testing positive). Just feeling a bit lost at the thought of testing negative soon and still potentially having to wait for days or weeks after that for it all to be over.

Once my tests became light, I miscarried pretty quickly (@ 5+3). It wasn't scary or painful, it was so early it was just like a normal period

Sorry, posted too soon. I was under EPU as I'd had 1 sided cramps and they wanted to rule out ectopic and I wasn't offered medical management

@polkadotpixie thank you, I found this very comforting to read last night.

I have actually started bleeding this morning which is such a relief. Here's hoping it also feels like a normal period.
