Periods after very early miscarriage

I did a pregnancy test on Tuesday and it came back positive. On Thursday I had a fall and because of that, I did a test on Friday morning and it was negative (I'm sure that wasn't a result of fall as was too soon).
Anyway, I am now experiencing what seems like a very typical period and I'm wondering if it is or not? I had some spotting first and then a little (really not very much) clotting and now what seems like a proper period. Do you think it is or not? If so, can we start trying again afterwards?

unfortunately that does sound like a very early miscarriage - you will only get a clear positive test result if you are pregnant, and followed by a negetive and then your period, it sounds very much like a miscarriage. How many weeks pregnant would you have been?

I was told I could start trying again immediately after a miscarriage as there were no complications.

It was very early - about 4.4 weeks.
I'm just wondering if this is a proper period or if I will have another one within this month itms!

Ooh - confusing, two threads! No - that's your proper period, it should just carry on as normal.

yes, consider this as you would do your period, so today should be cycle day 1
