I found out this week I’ve had my 3rd missed miscarriage. This one is the earliest one - 9 weeks by date but only measuring 6weeks. My other two were measuring about 9 weeks so I opted for an MVA for them. This time they suggested I tried medical management to reduce risk of scarring etc. They thought it might be more successful given the size.
I went in yesterday. Had 4 oral tablets at 11am and took 2 more at 5pm as instructed.
I had diarrhoea quickly then nothing until about 4pm had a small gush of fluid, slight pink tinge. Wondered if this could be water from pregnancy sac? Then about 7pm I had some mild cramping. No more than a bad period and passed two clots within an hour or so. One was size of large grape and then next one occurred after small push and disappeared into toilet. Couldn’t see it clearly so not sure if it could have been pregnancy sac or not and I just instinctively flushed the toilet thinking it was another clot. After that cramping continued for 3-4 hours but milder and no more clots really. This morning it’s just like a period.
I’m so concerned about incomplete/ retained products (this happened after MVA and the drawn out process was worse than miscarriage itself). What were other peoples experiences of medical management, does this sound like “enough”. Just trying to mental prepare myself. Is it likely the bleeding will ramp up again?
