Faint positive 3 weeks after miscarriage

I had a medical miscarriage 3 weeks ago and was told to take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks. I still have a faint positive result. Has anyone else experienced this? What was the outcome for you? I'm really hoping I do not need further treatment.

Did you do the test supplied by the nurses who gave the drugs? They say that those are different to the off the shelf ones as they can detect the hormone for a lot longer after the termination.

Thank you @SuddenlyISee
Yes it's the test from the nurses. I hope that is the case it only a faint line although clearly visible

I think mine took 5 weeks to go negative. But I had mine in hospital as I was over 10weeks. So I was checked before they discharged me. Did they not advise on what to do if you were still testing positive?

Yes I had this @user6078472 and was called back in for a scan which showed retained products, so I had a D&C. I know the length of time it takes for HCG to drop varies a lot between women. Worth a call to EPU though. And perhaps another test? Mine told me not to use FMU for some reason.

My PT took 6 weeks to go negative after my first, 10 weeks after my second and I'm on week 5 for my third atm but I know I have rpoc this time. I was told it's normal for it to take 6-8 weeks to go negative
