I've got an appointment with her for recurrent miscarriage on 30th June and not really knowing what to expect from this first appointment.

I called and spoke with the secretary who sent me a blood form for various blood tests (6 vials of blood taken!) But I'm pretty certain they'll come back fine.

I had emergency c section with my LB, when my waters broke there was a lot of meconium. We were both on antibiotics for a week. Poor thing had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 5 times and around his stomach. I had been bleeding pool of blood but no one noticed and I was shaking and in and out of consciousness from shock. luckily my husband had a nap, in doing so when he woke up he was the one who spotted the blood. That's when I was rushed to surgery. I lost quite a bit of blood during surgery too. I had to take high doses of iron for quite a while to get the level back up.

It was all pretty traumatic and I suffered with PTSD for quite a long time afterwards. I also suffered with PND.

Had two MMCs last year, both ending with the surgical procedure to remove everything.

Just wondering if I have some kind of long term damage or infection that's gone undetected

Sorry for waffling

What happens with first appointment?

Hi @FirstTim3Mummy I had the same question and found a couple of other similar threads on here that you might like to read (just search "quenby"). I can't help, but I have my first appt with her on 23rd June so will try to update this thread afterwards, with what to expect at the first appointment.

Thank you! I found and read those other posts now. Have you had your bloods taken ready for your first appointment?

@FirstTim3Mummy I have indeed - I haven't seen the results yet, though. Have you? I was expecting the results to also be sent to my GP, but they haven't been. I think maybe because I live in a different county/Trust, but not sure. I spoke to Prof. Quenby's office who confirmed they have received them, so I asked that they also send a copy to my GP for my own records.
