Bleeding after medical abortion

Hi, 4 days ago i had a medical abortion. the pain was awful but i passed big blood clots and woke up feeling better the next day and as im aware everything went as it should have. However im just concerned about the bleeding im having now. It’s not like normal period blood. It’s quite thick as if it’s blood mixed with thick discharge. This may be TMI but im not sure how else to describe it. If i go to the toilet it’s sometimes hanging down from my vagina into the toilet. I just want to know if this is normal?

I’d be contacting the GP, could be an infection or retained products.

Spoke to Nupas helpline. They said this is normal for 1st week of bleeding post abortion.

Hey I had an abortion on 30 january.For the first two weeks it was light bleeding with small clots.now I have cramps and heavy bleeding am I okay or I should go for a check up?
