I'm currently going through a miscarriage and it's just been like a heavy period so the physical side hasn't been too bad but I'm really struggling emotionally. I feel like the whole experience has made me question everything. Am I happy in my job, our house, my social life? I have an appointment with the GP but it isn't until 26th June. Is it normal to feel like this?

It's totally normal to feel like this, you are grieving for a life that you had already imagined which feels like it has been stolen! I was exactly the same, especially on the job front, I am a primary school teacher and my miscarriage and fertility issues have made me start to wonder if I was up to doing the job. Going through a miscarriage is a huge emotional upheaval and I urge you to be kind to yourself and take time off to properly recover from this. On top of this, you are going through a huge hormonal shift. You will feel better but only if you allow yourself to feel what you're feeling. Does your GP know why you have an appointment with them? If not, I would call again and explain the situation as you may need support earlier than that. As soon as my GP reception heard I was going through a miscarriage, they got me an appointment the next day so I could temporarily increase my anti-anxiety medication. Sending you so much love and sorry you're going through this, it sucks xx
