Hi need some advice, I do have doctors appointment on Tuesday but I’m really upset and scared as it’s been 3 months since my missed miscarriage but my period has come out of nowhere it’s been regular enough since but I’m passing awful clots and bright red blood it’s like a river and I’m wondering does anyone have any advice or experienced this I thought by now this would all be over ? Or am I perimenopausal
back in feb I had a d and c and even after that I passed awful things it’s like they didn’t operate properly sorry I’m so alone and distraught

I'm sorry, I can't help.

I would suggest calling 111.

Hopefully somebody will be along who can help you.

Theawkwardblonde · 21/05/2023 21:53

I would advise contacting 111. Those clots look quite big and potentially something retained from your miscarriage.
Are you in any pain?
I had similar after my MC (albeit I didn't have a D & C) and it was retained product passing.
Please get checked - hope you get sorted soon and sending well wishes.

Clots form when blood pools and sets. They get expelled when we stand up or bear down.

If you're getting clots like this several times an hour, it's worth getting seen tomorrow rather than Tuesday.

If you're passing blood in a constant stream, then you need to be seen tonight.

Yes this is sensible advice, if you start to feel faint etc as well then please get seen.

You mention your period has been regular since your MMC (if I've read correctly) so do you mean this isn't the first period since the loss? Sorry to say but is it possible you had conceived again and this is another loss? It does look very like the bleeding I had during my miscarriage. I'm just on my first period after my loss this week and it is like a normal period. I've not had further clots etc. I agree with above posters to seek medical advice asap.

Let us know how you get on. X

Did you get seen op?

AnnaM21 · 23/05/2023 10:29

Hi
it showed on a scan I have multiple fibroids 9 of them and that’s what caused the clots :(

@AnnaM21 ah I'm sorry to hear that. Will they need to be surgically removed? Are they likely to impact your fertility? Hope you're ok. At least it's positive to know what was causing the bleeding and hopefully now they can do something about it for you. X

AnnaM21 · 23/05/2023 11:16

They will need to be Embolized I did know from before that I had just a few but now 9 is really hard to take in , he was surprised I fell pregnant but yes they can impact a baby growing it depends on their location anyway need to go for more tests

Hi these images are really sensitive but I’ve come on to vent , following on from my post a few days ago the bleeding became so much worse that I ended up in an ambulance to hospital put on a drip given progesterone and cyklokapron tablets. Went back this morning for another check up to the maternity / gynocology ward and she said it seems to be an erratic period after a miscarriage. I was thinking was it the fibroids but they have never given me this much grief and am I perimenopausal ?? This is insane as i fainted on the way home also and I’ve been put on iron for anemia it’s a strange time and it’s v upsetting I miscarried in feb and it feels like it’s a real one this time even though I’m not pregnant ! I don’t even know why I bothered with a D&C back then as it’s been nothing but a bother since

You poor thing! I hope the progesterone and tablets have eased the bleeding. Make sure you go straight to A&E if you start bleeding like that again!

AnnaM21 · 26/05/2023 20:42

@OneShotFinch thank u x I will

That's a lot of blood loss, poor you. I hope things settle down now for you. Take it very easy over the weekend.
