Hi OP.
This may be because you had a general anaesthetic.
I'm so sorry you lost your baby. Does the headache improve if you take painkillers?

GayPareeee · 12/05/2023 13:35

Any chance you could have infection? I always get a specific sort of (intractable) headache when I have one, later 9 weeks after giving birth til they finally swabbed me.

Unicorn2023 · 12/05/2023 13:38

@TheShellBeach Thank you ♥️ Yes pain killers take it away but it seems to reappear soon after they wear off x

@GayPareeee I’m not to sure is headache a sign of infection? I feel ok other than the sore head x

Headaches are also a sign of emotional distress, OP.
Give yourself time. It hasn't been lost since your baby died.
Hormonal changes also cause headaches.
Make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids and resting.
If the headaches persist go and see your doctor.

I had headaches for about 3 weeks post d&c. I think it was a mixture of hormones dropping and stress. Take care of yourself 💕

Ah, lack of sleep leads to headaches.
I've had lots of miscarriages. The physical and emotional recovery take longer than people think.
I hope you start to feel better soon, but give yourself time. You deserve it and your body needs it.

Unicorn2023 · 12/05/2023 14:26

@TheShellBeach This is my 5th it’s so hard isn’t it 😢 I think because on the outside you look ok people think ur fixed but they don’t realise what’s going on mentality and physically 😞 I’m so sorry for your losses life can be so cruel 💔 sending you lots of love and strength ♥️🤗 x

Oh my dear, I'm so sorry.
I did manage to have children eventually but five in a row is a terrible ordeal.
No wonder you've got headaches. You poor thing.
Have you been seen at the recurrent miscarriage clinic?
I'm so sad for you.

Unicorn2023 · 12/05/2023 15:26

@TheShellBeach Aww that’s lovely I’m so happy for you ♥️🤗 This pregnancy was the furthest I got and I was so angry that it went wrong that I actually spoke up and asked for it to be tested because all the other times no one seemed to tell me what I could do I was just told it happens or once told it was not viable because I was only 5 weeks and I was to distraught to chase it up that I left it. I should hopefully have those results soon and I was told I would be referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic but I’m not sure how long that takes or if I need to wait till this one’s tested 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m just in limbo just now which is brutal I just would rather know if I can’t carry children or if there is something anyone can do it’s been a long 5 year journey xx
