Recurrent miscarriage & blood tests

Hello,

I have had 2 miscarriages and 1 ectopic and am now being sent for further investigation.

First stage is the blood tests. Can anyone shed some light on what this is checking for?

Thank you!

I had them done at various intervals through the month, like day 3, 5, etc - to check on my hormone levels through the cycle. They showed my LH rose too quickly. I also had too much androstenedione. I suspect they also look at things like iron levels, etc to check for various deficiencies.

We had also had karotyping (sp ?) done before that, to check our chromosomes, which iirc was through blood tests.

The tests should include a thyroid check too. I had 3 miscarriages before having blood tests and being diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Once my hormone levels were sorted out I fell pregnant again and they are now 5 years old and fast asleep upstairs.
