FIRST PERIOD AFTER MC 7 WEEKS

Hello ladies šŸ’—

I had a MC at 7 weeks on 5th March and got my first period 8th April. I usually have 28-30 day cycles but no idea when I ovulate, I’ve never tracked this.

On CD14-15 I had very light pink tinged discharge and a lot of discharge and period type pains on and off for two days. I assume I may have ovulated then but I can’t be certain.

Based on my original cycles, I would have been due on yesterday/today/tomorrow but have no signs of AF arriving whatsoever. I usually spot a day or two beforehand, but nothing.

I’ve done various HCG and early detection tests the last few days but they’ve been offensively negative :( We’ve DTD every other day/every three days this month so I was confident we would have caught ovulation.

Maybe I didn’t ovulate then, I’ve read on Premom app that some people have this spotting and cramping BEFORE ovulation, so I could be a few days out still? Or maybe I didn’t ovulate at all. God knows what’s going on :(

Anyone else experienced similar?! Going out of my mind here :(

@DHB I had a miscarriage on 24th March, never took any ovulation tests prior to this but bought some for after my miscarriage just to make sure I ovulated and to give me an idea of when I did. It’s pretty hard to say if you ovulated or not if you didn’t take any ovulation tests yourself. I think ovulation tests give you a sense of security as you know you ovulated and you know you DTD the days you definitely ovulated so there’s no questioning if you caught it or not.
Maybe give it a couple of days and test again?

Hi OP. I'm sorry you lost your baby.
I don't think you're pregnant this cycle. It can take many months of trying before you become pregnant.
With the pregnancy you've just lost, did you conceive the first month of trying?

even if you catch ovulation, that's not a guarantee you'll get pregnant. it's considered perfectly normal to try for up to a year before conceiving so try to settle yourself to it taking a while. i know that is so so hard when you've just lost a pregnancy. hugs.

Hi all, so the miscarriage was the first month of trying. Our daughter who is 8 was also the first month too.

I’m now CD4 so here’s hoping to this month and perhaps my body will get back to normal :)

Ah. So you've never tried more than one month.
Most women take a good few months. For many women it's a year.
Don't be despondent. You're clearly fertile and hopefully it won't take too many months for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss

I fell pregnant first month of trying but had a miscarriage at 6+4. I then fell pregnant with my ds after my first period
