How soon did you ovulate after MC?

Hi everyone,

I found out nearly 3 weeks ago by baby had died and I had a MMC at 14 weeks but delivered my baby 2 weeks ago.

I was told to wait 2 periods until ttc again and to refrain from sex until my bleeding had stopped.

I was under the assumption that my cycle wouldn’t restart until my HCG was negative. Therefore I had unprotected sex a few days ago after my bleeding stopped thinking it would be ok to do so and afterwards I started noticing that I have had discharge similar to ovulation (i think - I haven’t had a cycle since January).

I’m now wondering could my body have realised the HCG was dropping and just restarted sooner than I thought?

my previous miscarriage I’m pretty sure the same happened as I had a positive pregnancy test and ovulated 2 weeks after which resulted in this last pregnancy.

im just wondering if this is something anyone else has experienced? I took an ovulation test but it came back negative but I did this days after the discharge started…
my BBT has been 36.9 degrees Celsius the past 2 days… I’m not sure if I have ovulated and if I could be pregnant and what implications this might cause me so soon after MC

I'm sorry for the loss of your baby. My loss at just under 13 weeks was a long time ago but I was pregnant again within 6 weeks after a D & C. The advice from my GP at the time was that my body would accept a new pregnancy when it was ready, but obviously medical advice changes. My daughter is now almost 33.

@MummaDaisy sorry for your loss. I ovulated 15 days after my miscarriage. My doctor told me to class the first day of my bleed (miscarriage) as cycle day 1 and class it as a period. I did and tracked ovulation and I ovulated 2 weeks later as normal. You are most fertile within this time apparently so there is a high chance you could be pregnant. Fingers crossed for you ♥️
