Do your waters go with a MC?

Hi all,

Unfortunately I had a MMC diagnosed yesterday should have been 11+4 but baby was measuring 7+5 and no heartbeat 😞

I've opted for surgical management but it won't be until Tuesday morning and since my scan yesterday I think things have been ramping up naturally. I've had akin to a medium flow period and some mild cramping. Just now I just had a popping sensation and then a gush and I was expecting to see a load of blood but it's just as though my waters have gone. I really wasn't expecting that at all. Has anyone else had this? Is it likely to mean the loss will now happen faster etc? Thank you so much.

Update in case anyone else ever wonders... Apparently it was most likely the waters going. In my case, this preempted the miscarriage picking up pace and I think I lost the pregnancy tissue within an hour and a half. Still getting some bleeding now but the cramps have eased (they were never too bad - a bit like early stage labour). I will be going to an appointment tomorrow which would have been my pre-op but hopefully they will be able to check for me how things are looking and if it has passed. 😔💕

@Lifesamuddle @Unicorn2023 thank you ❤️

I found at my pre-op that I had indeed passed everything so no surgery was needed in the end. It's been a week now since I discovered we'd lost the baby. I can't quite believe it's already been a whole week. 💔💕

I had such a big gush when I sat on the toilet (10+3 but not sure when baby passed. Maybe 8 weeks or so going by size) that it was almost the same as when your waters break.
