Hi all, just wondering if anyone has been through a similar situation. We lost our baby recently at 13 weeks and had medical management.
I felt fine physically within a few days and was quite surprised at how quickly I had recovered. It’s 12 days later and I’m in hospital feeling very sick, have d&v, a fever, high heart rate and every muscle in my body aches however the bleeding I am experiencing is lighter than a period. Doctors told me I have an infection but it still unknown where it’s coming from. A scan today showed that I have 40mm of tissue remaining, I was told this was tiny and wouldn’t be causing an infection. The gynaecologist also insists that the infection has probably been caused by a separate bacterial virus most likely in my stomach. I’m wondering if anyone has experienced similar symptoms and if this is all linked? The main symptoms being acute diarrhoea and terrible stomach cramps. I’m currently awaiting surgery and I’m too impatient to wait for my blood / stool test results.
