Hi, I had a medical management for a missed miscarriage on the 16th of March bleeding was next to nothing and I passed something small on the toilet, spotting since then, today the 28th I was up all night with extreme pain couldn’t even get to sleep after 2:30am because the pain was too much, this morning about 7:30am my bleeding started and it was very heavy and loads of clots, some as big as the palm of my hand, I was in absolute agony, was sick because of the pain and fainted on my bed, calmed down for a fair few hours and now it’s started to become heavy again with large clots and pain, I’m worried that this isn’t normal, hospital said it’s whatever I think so I don’t want to waste my time going to A&E if I don’t need to, has anyone else had a similar experience? Thank you.

I'm sorry OP

It sounds like your medical management didn't work on the 16th or was incomplete and now you are having the actual miscarriage or it could be retained products? If it's the latter I'd say you do probably need a trip to hospital?

If you had medical management it's usually procedure so scan you a few days later to ensure that it's worked? I'm guessing you weren't given a follow up?

@usererror99 hey, yeah the medical definitely didn’t work, but I’m pretty sure I’ve just passed the placenta, they said do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after bleeding started and they will give me a call after 3 weeks(from the 16th). I’m hoping that as I’ve just passed the placenta that’ll be it and the clots and bleeding will calm down a lot. Xxx
