Period after miscarriage

Hey. I had a miscarriage in Feb, I bled for 5 days no pain etc. But my boobs have been hurting for the past week, very mild cramping and I'm aparantly due on tomorrow according to my app. But my midwife told me I won't get my period until 6/8 weeks after I stopped bleeding from a miscarriage. Has anyone else had a period early like a normal one or has theirs been 6/8 weeks after like the midwife said?? (Still trying for a baby)

Hello, so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. I had one in January, on the 6th it happened and I bled for quite a long time, 3 weeks (I was 12 weeks along), then after I stopped bleeding and got a neg pregnancy test I started do my ovulation tests again. I actually ovulated just a few days after the bleeding stopped, so just over 3 weeks after the miscarriage itself and I didn't have a period between, unless my longer bleed time was also my period but not sure if that's possible, but defo possible to ovulate earlier than 6-8 weeks as I did - I was really surprised and was glad I had started testing again early as I was convinced it would take ages to get back to normal x

I also had a miscarriage in February, I had surgical management which resulted in bleeding for a few days and spotting for around 2 weeks and I then had a period 4 weeks after the surgery, which was earlier than I expected as my cycle is irregular and usually 5-6 weeks.

I had a natural miscarriage a year ago and felt ovulation while I was still bleeding and my period came about 6 weeks after I started bleeding.

I hope that helps, but everyone is different so it's difficult to say how your body will react.
