Would MMC scan have detected ectopic? Really worried

I had a MMC at the 12 week scan, baby stopped developing at 7 weeks. I am now pregnant again (only detected today at 12dpo). I get ovulation pain every month on the left side, and with my last pregnancy and now this one I have almost constant pain by my left ovary.

When I had the mmc scan she couldn't find the baby to begin with, and asked if I had pain in my shoulder which I know suggests ectopic. She then found baby burrowed quite far over to the left side where I have the pain.

Now I'm pregnant again and have this pain I'm worried it is an ectopic, my question is would the last scan have picked up if it were? I had a D&C would it have been something different if ectopic?

There is no way your last would have been an ectopic if it was managed with a d&c which is used to remove tissue from your uterus not outside of that.
