Bleeding 6/7 weeks… is this it?

Hi, I’m currently 7w+4 (going by dates) or 6w+4 going by scan. I’ve had zero symptoms for the last 2/2.5 weeks.

On Sat I started to get some brown discharge and since then it has varied between a little brown, some red blood and back to brown. I assumed that I was having a miscarriage, but it hasn’t progressed further. i went to the EPU today and they saw the heartbeat and says everything looks ok. But I’m still bleeding which they can’t explain.

did anyone have bleeding that went in to a successful pregnancy? The combination of no symptoms and bleeding isn’t making me confident, even after a successful scan.

oh and one more thing, I’ve been using Clearblue tests with weeks indicators (wish I hadn’t started) and have been unable to get a 3+ result. It still says 2-3

I bled through both of my pregnancies. DD’s are now 17 and 19 🙂.
mine was put down to erosion of my cervix. I didn’t have many pregnancy symptoms, was only sick once with dd1 and not at all with dd2.

I've bled through all my pregnancies and none of my miscarriages ironically. Huge bleeds, full of clots and bright gushing red blood. Some people just bleed and it's unexplained.

Hope yours is the same.

I also bled during my first pregnancy 22 years ago, huge gushes and clots for weeks. She’s 21 now and at uni. I hope everything goes well for you. It definitely isn’t necessarily a miscarriage. Good luck

Thank you, that’s reassuring to read. I’m bleeding quite a lot now. I guess time will tell which way it goes, although that’s the hardest thing!

Hi OP I had this on two occasions - once at 6w and then again the night before my 20w scan. First time lasted about 3 weeks. The sonographer said it was implantation bleeding. At the 20w scan I had a low lying placenta (which then moved).

I now have an absolutely huge almost 6m old asleep on my now dead arm!

I hope this helps, the fact that a heartbeat has been seen is an excellent sign. I’ll have everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy and baby xx

Thank you for your responses. Unfortunately (and to update for future readers of this post) it was a miscarriage that progressed that evening. I think the fact the scan was a week off my dates and my lack of symptoms were all part of it. Not to be this time sadly.

Thank you for sharing. I’ve had bleeding which started as brown now gone to red and more like a period. Enough for a liner. I also have cramping. I’m 7 weeks and had two scans and they can’t explain the bleeding. I hope all goes well with you.

If anybody else has had similar please share. It’s blowing my mind.

@MissSummer I’m seven weeks too and been bleeding for two weeks 😰 saw baby’s heart beat on Wednesday and waiting for another scan on Monday 🙉 driving me mad with worry x
