Getting prescribed low progesterone

Hi all,

I have recently had two back to back chemical miscarriages which has really taken its toll on me. I hear this is common but I really didn't expect having one after another in the space of 6 weeks of each other. After doing lots of googling I'm pretty sure I have low progesterone. My menstrual cycle is fairly light and can last 3 days. I've requested for my bloods to be taken from my GP and waiting to hear from them.
I know lots of other people go through losses too and have seen people say the NHS won't investigate until you have 3-4 miscarriages. I wondered what other peoples experience was and also if going private would be beneficial given how long wait lists are for the NHS. Has anyone else gone private and what was the approximate costing of this?

Thanks all x

Hi,

im actually in a really similar situation miscarriage early jan & feb at around 5 weeks. I too am thinking this could be due to low progesterone as I tend to spot before I’m due on and did with both early miscarriages before BFP. Have you had any luck? I’m going to speak to my GP the next time I’m pregnant and see if they would offer it although not sure I’ll have much luck

Yes unfortunately I've been told by the nhs they won't help me until I've had another mc (I've had 2 so far).

@Patpop did you get anything from your gp?
